Cancellation and refunds
Plans on the coast change with the weather, so the policy is short and the same at every one of the eight stays.
The free window
Cancel free until 48 hours before check-in. Within that window there is no charge at all; if you had paid online, the full amount goes back.
After the free window
Cancelling inside 48 hours, or not arriving at all, is charged one night plus GST. The rest of the stay is released and refunded.

How refunds reach you
A refund goes back to the method you paid with and takes 5 to 7 working days to appear — that delay is the bank’s, not ours. We raise a GST credit note at the same time, and it appears in your account under Invoices.
If you reserved without paying, there is nothing to refund: the room is simply released.
Changing instead of cancelling
Moving the dates is usually better than cancelling, and we will try to hold your rate if the new dates are open. Open the booking in your trips, or call the desk and we will do it with you.
When we cancel
If a property cannot honour a booking — storm damage, a burst pipe, something genuinely unforeseeable — we refund in full and help you find a room elsewhere on the road at the same rate. If the only comparable room costs more, we pay the difference.
Weather
The coast gets cyclones between October and December. If the district administration advises against travel on your dates, or the ECR is closed, cancellation is free whatever the timing — just tell us.
Ordinary rain, rough sea or a monsoon week is not grounds for a free cancellation. The surf break at Kovalam works precisely because the sea is rough.
Group bookings
Four rooms or more at one property are handled individually, usually with a 14-day free window instead of 48 hours. The terms are confirmed in writing when the booking is made.
