Terms of booking
These apply when you book through ecrworlds.com. They are meant to be read once and then not thought about again.
Who you are contracting with
ECRworlds Hospitality Pvt Ltd, 4 Beach Road, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600041, GSTIN 33AABCE1234F1Z5. We operate the eight properties listed on the site, so your contract is with us directly — there is no agency in the middle and no booking fee.
Booking a room
- A booking exists once you have a reference beginning ECR-. Until then nothing is held.
- The rate you see is per room per night. The total, including GST, is shown before you confirm.
- The lead guest must be 18 or over and present at check-in.
- Every adult needs a government photo ID at the desk. Foreign nationals need a passport and visa page; this is a legal requirement for Indian hotels.
- Rooms have a stated capacity and we cannot exceed it. Children under 6 stay free using existing beds at most properties.
Prices and GST
All prices are in Indian rupees. GST on accommodation is charged on the per-night tariff: 5% up to ₹7,500 a night and 18% above it. Food, spa treatments and anything else bought at the property are billed separately and taxed at their own rates.
A tax invoice is raised when the booking confirms and lives in your account. Give us a GSTIN at booking, or reissue the invoice against one afterwards, and the input credit is claimable.
If a rate is displayed wrongly through an obvious error, we will tell you before confirming and you can take the correct rate or cancel for nothing. We will not quietly charge you the higher figure.
Paying
Reserve now and pay at the property by card, UPI or cash, or pay online when you book. Either way the price is the same. Unpaid bookings are held until check-in time on the day of arrival.
Cancelling and changing
Free until 48 hours before check-in; after that one night plus GST. The cancellation policy has the detail, including weather and group bookings.
At the property
- Check-in and check-out times are on each stay’s page. Early and late depend on the night before.
- Quiet hours are 22:00 to 07:00 unless the property says otherwise.
- Smoking is not permitted indoors at any of the eight.
- Pets are welcome at Saltpan House and Alamparai Dunes Camp, and nowhere else.
- Damage beyond fair wear is charged at cost, itemised, with photographs.
- A property may refuse or end a stay for behaviour that endangers staff or other guests. In that case nights not stayed are refunded, and nothing else is.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for providing the room you booked, to the standard described. If we cannot, we will move you to something equivalent or better at no extra cost, or refund you in full.
We are not responsible for things genuinely outside anyone’s control: weather, road closures, power cuts, strikes, or an act of government. Nor for valuables left in a room when a safe was available, for activities booked with third parties, or for the sea, which is not ours and does not take instruction.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid for the stay.
Reviews
You can review a stay once it has started. Reviews are published under your first name, we do not edit them, and the property can reply publicly. We remove a review only if it identifies a person, is defamatory, or is not about a stay that happened.
Using the site
Do not scrape it, do not attack it, and do not use it to book on someone else’s behalf without their knowledge. Accounts doing any of that are closed. Text and photographs on the site belong to us or to the properties and are not for reuse.

These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Chennai have jurisdiction.
